Naturalake Biosciences had a great year, and we couldn’t have done it without our amazing customers, team, and members of the lake community.
2020 has thrown some curveballs; dealing with COVID-19, we want to share how proud we are to be part of an essential industry that adapted to continue protecting and caring for our lakes and pods across the country and around the world.
Along with adapting to a pandemic, team Naturalake held the first annual summer selfie contest, added a new prize (all-inclusive fishing day trip) to our research and case history program, and held the 5th Naturalake University conference. Our lab published new research and released two new products.
Thank you to everyone who came out to learn and become Naturalake Certified.
Our first annual #naturalakesummerselfie contest brought us so many great submissions! Our participants were very creative and had fun with the photos; we can’t wait to see what you all come up with next year. Take a look at some of the great photos we received from lake management professionals across the world.

AquaSticker + Flumioxazin
Studies have shown AquaSticker aids herbicides in treatments on a variety of floating aquatic plants. In a study lead by Dr. Charles Webber, the addition of AquaSticker to Flumioxazin treatments on duckweed resulted in improved response time and overall control. At 7 days after treatment (DAT), AquaSticker and Flumioxazin treatments achieved 95% control of duckweed. Flumioxazin alone achieved only 75% control during the same time period. In addition, at 10 DAT the treatments with Flumioxazin and AquaSticker had no signs of duckweed regrowth. In a field case study, AquaSticker is used in combination with diquat, flumioxazin, and chelated copper to successfully treat bladderwort and watershield.
